One of Scotland's largest and well-known lochs, Loch Lomond was formed after the last ice age and is a haven of stunning, natural beauty. It's a short drive away from Glasgow, and I love to come here on my days off.
The constantly shifting elements and shade of light on the hills and water mean the landscape is always changing. This provides endless inspiration and challenges when painting. Sometimes the elusiveness of the place allows me to work mostly from memory, creating more abstract images like 'Reflections in the Forest', rather than the more detailed pictures such as 'Tranquility on the Loch'.
